This week’s lesson is something I’m not quite comfortable familiar with so hopefully I conquer it with my standard Rachel Berry confidence and efficiency!
While I’m gone I would love if my fans left me messages to answer when I get back!
Talk to everyone soon!!
This is unusual. I welcome questions in my time of boredom!

I don’t even mind what they entail! Ask away!

I survived last week and I fully plan on doing the same this week!
So this…Wanky Wednesday and yet again Rachel Berry will be answering any and all questions sent into her mailbox in the most professional yet honest way possible.
Dinner was wonderful, there was no doubt about it. Rachel didn’t even think of the food when she found herself smiling about the evening, though her tofu dinner was actually quite extraordinary. No, what was truly amazing about the night was that the conversation between she and Finn was so easy to keep going. She didn’t find awkward silences that desperately desired to be filled, nor did she feel crazy for speaking so much about the difference between having a lead role and being the leading lady. He listened to her and despite how she imagined he would be when she was speaking he gave her attention and actually responded accordingly. He made her feel like she wasn’t just talking, she was being understood. Rachel took a bit longer to eat than Finn but she blamed that on the fact that she kept getting distracted by him. His face when he took his first bite was so blissful and he let out a noise of appreciation. Her eyes were drawn to his lips and she found herself again thinking about how they had moved against hers just a few nights ago. More so, she found herself thinking about doing it again. As soon as that notion ran through her mind she had nearly dropped her fork in shock. Did she really want to kiss Finn again? The first time she was convinced that it was a mistake, that there was no way they would ever be able to be more than simple acquaintances. However, he was proving to her that maybe they were compatible. Maybe he deserved a second look, or rather they deserved a second thought. Rachel finished her meal and by that time was just as confused as when they first kissed. Something in his words caught her attention though and she smiled at him, “It’s endearing that you’re a mama’s boy, Finn. I think it’s wonderful that you are so proud to be, I’m sure she’s very proud of you for how hard you’ve worked to be where you are.” Another thing that struck something in her was the fact that he was a drummer. Her eyes fell down to his hands and she could imagine him holding a pair of sticks, her heart racing just a bit to imagine it. Maybe being a mama’s boy was endearing but to be musically inclined was…well that was just plain old attractive.
She was about to pull out her wallet when she saw him pay the bill. Her brow quirked up and Rachel just shook her head as she put her arms through her jacket, the air they stepped out into being a bit chilly. She was on her way to the valet station when he called out to her and Rachel furrowed her brow in confusion. That was when she remembered that he said there would be a surprise after dinner. Rachel couldn’t stop the corners of her mouth from turning up and she moved back over to him. He led the way around the block and her eyes immediately registered where they were. The petite girl’s mouth opened in shock as her head moved around to look at all of the marquees and lit up boards. Rachel ushered over to Finn a little closer, “Finn, this is Broadway..th-this is my home.” Her eyes finally moved over to his but he was still looking ahead as they walked. She was about to ask him if he heard what she said when they arrived right in front of the the Gershwin Theatre. Automatically her mouth dropped open wide and she faintly heard his voice though a lot of her attention was on the giant building in front of her. Rachel turned her surprised eyes to meet his and her whole body was shaking, “We’re..we’re going to see Wicked? N-No..you’re not serious. Finn!” She felt tears touch her eyes and she threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and pushing her face into his neck. Was he being honest? He was taking her to see the show she’s been yearning to see since she was twelve years old. Rachel tightened her hold on him for a second before releasing him. She fell back down on her heels and rubbed her lips together, “This is the most fantastic date ever.”
It was a date. Plain and simple. Even if he hadn’t taken her to Sardi’s or to see one of the most inspirational stories of all time she would have called it a date by the end of the night. He was being a complete gentleman and everything was wonderful. Rachel moved her hands to slide down the sides of his face and down his chest. She played with the fabric where the two sides of his shirt met before pulling away. Her smile was practically permanent on her face as she slid her hand into his and pulled him along, feeling too excited to stand outside of the theatre for very much longer. They were right in time for the show and so the two of them were helped to their seats quickly. The fact that he had gotten such great seats was just the cherry on top and Rachel still felt total disbelief for where they were. Her eyes looked around the room as more people were ushered in and she squeezed his hand gently, “I can’t believe we’re here. I’ve always wondered what it looked like on the inside but I never imagined…I never thought it would be like this.” She was in complete awe of everything, especially the stage. The beautiful map curtain was down and the metal dragon was peering down at the audience. Rachel moved her hand just to take her jacket off and then she settled back into him, lacing their fingers together. She looked at him, appreciation and gratitude completely taking over her expression, “You’re going to love this show, Finn. It’s in my top five for plays and musicals, the message is inspiring and the writing is wonderful.” Her eyes moved from his eyes down and she leaned forward to press her lips against the corner of his mouth, “Thank you.”
All of which have been lovely and I’m so excited that I have been able to read them all.
I am planning on making my decision by 10 PM EST. I know I said this a few times but I’ve been getting busier and busier with moving around stuff this summer and then I was practically kidnapped yesterday by some friends since I’ve been working so hard.
I promise you, all who auditioned, that I will have an answer by ten o’ clock tonight. Thank you for your patience.
